Textbook教科書: Formal textbook (Living Mandarin K1) will be used with supplementary teaching materials throughout the course.

Materials/Resources教學材料: Every student needs to have the following items.
1. Art box.(include crayons or color pencil, scissor, glue stick and pencil)
2. Three Ring binder.(keep all the handouts)
3. Textbook-Living Mandarin K1
4. Ruled index cards.(New set of index cards will be prepared by teacher)
5. Snacks.(If necessary)

Each student will turn in $5.00 for the materials fees.

Course Description課程內容: We will continue to learn the pronunciation of 37 Chinese phonic symbol (ㄅㄆㄇZhuyin) and their compound sounds. Also, we will still work on writing basic Chinese characters and practice simple conversations in Chinese. Class schedule might be changed depending on schedule progress.
Sing-along activities and Chinese craft class will be introduced throughout the courses. The teaching of Chinese culture will be incorporated with manipulative, visual aides and audio aides.
**Please prepare your child for the regular demanding homework which will include writing and pronunciation practice.

Communicative Mode and Skills Targeted溝通模式: Interpersonal and presentational modes which will view by the listening, speaking and writing skills.
Course Objectives: 教學目標
§ The students will be able to pronounce 37 Chinese phonic symbol ㄅㄆㄇZhuyin),symbol combination with four tones.
§ The students will be able to recognize and count number (1-50) in Chinese.”
§ The students will be able to greet people, introduce themselves in Chinese.
§ The students will be able to response to some action words in Chinese.
§ The students will be able to sing 5 Chinese songs.
